Accounts, Notes and Pictures from the 2006 Conference

We had over 100 people attend this year's conference held in historic Charlottesville, Virginia. We toured Monticello (home of Thomas Jefferson), Montpelier (home of James Madison), Meadow Farm and Bloomsbury. We also held our bi-annual meetings, discussed and compared notes on geneaology and made new acquantinances along with renewing old ones.

Enjoy the following pictures taken at the 2006 Conference and start planning now to join us in Richmond in 2008.

Edward L. Strother and his granddaughter Sarah Boyd visited the William Strother memorial stone at Millbank while in Virginia. Meadowfarm, the ancestral home of Zachary Taylor, was toured by family members on Friday. Jimmy J. Strother and Nolan Hensarling are ready for picture taking. Strother family members tour Montpelier (under restoration), the home of President James Madison. We all enjoyed the picnic lunch at Montpelier.

Social hour for Conference participants. Strother cousins enjoy the Saturday night banquet. Family members tour Bloomsbury, built by Colonel James Taylor II in 1772.
